Administrator

We are recruiting an administrator with good IT and communication skills to volunteer 2 days a week for a maximum of 6 hours. Training and support given. Out of pocket expenses paid.

Fundraiser

A volunteer is needed to monitor and evaluate the hubs programme of events, set up fundraising activities and assist with grants applications on behalf of the hub. 2 -3 days a week for a maximum of 12 hours. Training and support given and out of pocket expenses paid.

Social Media Support

A volunteer is needed to manage our website and social media platform (regularly posting) 3 hours a week over 1 or 2 days. Home working is initially required with the opportunity to work from our hub in Edmonton from next year. Training provided and expenses paid.

Cafe Assistant

This role would suit someone who has a catering background or interested in learning skills with a view to developing a career in catering or hospitality. Our cafe requires 3 to 6 hours a week, with flexible times between school hours.

Business Mentor

Volunteers with business skills is needed to support young entrepreneurs 18-30 years for 2 hours a week for 6 months. DBS essential, training/support given and travel paid.

Associate Director

Seeking a volunteer 18 plus with a wide range of skills to join our board.  IT, accountancy, marketing and  fundraising skills desirable. The volunteer should have a good local knowledge of the issues impacting the Black community and a min. of 2 hours a week to commit to the role.

Community Lead

Volunteers in this role work closely with a board member and the Chief Executive to lead on community projects and commit 2-3 hours a week. We are seeking Community Lead volunteers in Education, Employment and Health & Wellbeing.

General Maintenance 

Volunteers with basic DIY practical skills to support  Enfield Black Heritage Hub building by assisting with general maintenance and repairs, as well with projects such as painting and general cleaning, etc. 1-2 days a week with a min. of 6 hours per week. is needed. All materials for the work and any out of pocket expenses paid.

Event Support 

Assist visitors to get the most out of an EBHH event experience from welcoming visitors, staffing stalls, to  serving refreshments and directing visitors. This is a flexible role and registered volunteers will be asked to support when needed. Training given.

Community Outreach

Speaking to people in the community about their views and recording the information. Speaking to people at community events, shopping centre stalls, etc. Also online engagement through social media. Training given and out of pocket expenses paid. 1 day a week for a min. of 2 hours.

We are seeking volunteers who have experience in organising events. The volunteer must be able to lead other volunteers as part of the role. This is a flexible role and registered volunteers will be asked to support as and when needed. Training and support given.

Receptionist

Volunteer receptionist is needed  to meet, greet and provide visitors with information. If you like working in a cultural space as part of a team this may be the part-time role for you. 9 hours a week over a min. of 2 days.
